No Shame

The Yankees lost to Roy Halladay – the game’s best pitcher – last night in Toronto.

There’s no shame in that.

Team USA was knocked off by Cuba in the Olympic semifinals this morning. Pedro Luis Lazo – baseball’s best big-game pitcher – finished off the victory.

There’s no shame in that.

But it all still hurts.

That was an ugly loss. You are right about Halladay though. So what is next for Team USA?

Ron W.,
Team USA will play Japan in the bronze-medal game. Cuba and South Korea will play for the gold. Our team played well in the tournament. They lost two of their first three games, but put together a streak and advanced to the medal round. I hope they come home with the bronze. That would be well deserved.

I am sad this is the end for baseball in the Olympics. It has been more competitive each year and this was the best. Hopefully, it will be able to return in 2016.

Just in case everyone didn’t know, losing sucks.
